OK, so Nvidia’s realtime-raytracers appeared last year, Intel’s just dropped couple of weeks ago, and AMD’s (I believe it’s called “Navi”?) is coming in a couple of months. I wonder how people pick which one they want to use?? Could anyone enlighten me?
It has always worked with cycles, amd is certainly better than it used to be, but it is still much more prone to driver issues and problems the cycles devs can’t deal with. Intel is untested in this field, and will be a small portion of the user base for quite a while, thus not likely to receive much development time.
Of course none of the real-time raytracing tech will be integrated into blender any time soon, but CUDA rendering in cycles is very reliable.
