Which of these tutorials should I do first, the wiki character animation or the dvd on character animation? Or does it matter?
dosen’t matter just start the one that seems most easy for you to figure out, I found the wiki one real good for an overview of all functions.
Which DVD?
Thing with tutorial is that no one do it the same way. You usually learn different technique from each one. Look at both of them and stick with the one you prefer.
Sudai: That’s what I’m doing but generally I prefer video tutorials as they seem more interactive and engaging. How long did it take you to get through the wiki tutorial?
Markjoel: The one that’s called Character Animation
ridix: Yeah I noticed that. Have you found any good tutorials?
Hi mission
I just worked at one small section at a time, until it was burnt into my poor confused brain cells, so it took a few days of spare time once you have the basics understood the more confusing stuff will make more sense. Video’s are less painfull to learn from compared to books if you have broadband, Im on dialup so its mostly manuals for me.
Good luck with the learning
Yeah I’ve been learning it bits at a time too. It takes quite a bit of discipline to read manuals. You seriously use dialup?!? I thought they stopped making those 10 years ago.
it depends how familiar you are with blender. the DVD is mostly animation concepts, not so much implementation in blender. its still very informative though, i have it.
