Which texturing technique?


I’m working on a skull character (https://blenderartists.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=59025&highlight=skull) and i’ve reached the stage where i’d like to texture the skull. I was wondering which technique I should use.

Should I LSCM unwrap him or should I use this technique? -> (https://blenderartists.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11889&highlight=landis+airman) Or do i have everything mixed up?


Both are great ways of doing the textures. It totally depends on what your final result is to be, though both will produce similar results.

LSCM unwrapping can be a tedious and painful experience if you are relatively new to UV mapping and texturing in general. Landis’ method is a bit easier to understand and utilize.
