Have you actually tried it ? Don’t believe all the rubbish that certain users spew out on these forums, it all depends on what look you are looking for in your animation.

a lot! by the time I worked for my animation www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8dIqyfHQZ0 it wasn’t even possible to render a frame above 720p. Else, blender crashed after every tenth frame … maybe I did something wrong. Why HD? - I hate pixelized animation
by the way, bickbuckbunny was amongst others a reason for me to start with blender
