Why are static particles are rendered as strands

Hi all,

i have created a static particle system, it looks like normal particles in the 3D window, but they are rendered as strands. Do you have any idea how this happens?

Could be because you have ‘strand’ enabled in your material? Check the second screen shot there and see…

it makes no differences if i have clicked that button or not. It is also no difference if I use this or another computer.

Untick the vec. button in the particles panel.

EDIT: I see you have it ticked off, have you tried setting the material to halo?

the halo button was the missing bit!
