Why does my armatures legs rotate backwards when using copy rotation?

Hello all. I have mocap bvh files and if I take any armature and apply copy rotation for the legs, the legs are backwards. I feel like the bvh file armature has backwards legs so when I apply it, it’s backwards if that makes sense. The motion is all the same, but the leg is rotated 180 degrees in the opposite direction, so the feet are pointing behind the character. Any help how I can fix this would be greatly appreciated. :slight_smile:

have you tried the ‘invert’ check boxes in the copy rotation constraint… ?

Or…

you might have to set the copy rotation ‘spaces’ to ‘local’…

can’t tell for sure with seeing your file but try those to see if they work or not…
