Why does rendering move objects in my model?

Hi all,

I am making a basic room, and I have a globe map I want to append. It appears all right when I append, but when I place it to the correct location on a desk, and render the scene, it pops back to the location it was when appended. I have tried to Apply location & rotation & scale, but it still doesn’t want to stay in place.

I should add that I gave the globe a local 23.4 degree tilt on the Z to make it animatable later. Does the local coordinate change cause this?

Any ideas? (surely… i am just missing something here again

Thanks!

could you post a .blend file? hard to tell what’s up without one

edit: check the dopesheet to make sure you didn’t accidentally keyframe the loc/rot/scale of the object

haunted house with globe.zip (1.1 MB)Silly of me not to do that straight away. As I now post it you will see the globe emerging from the floor, much as in Alien 1. I try to put it by the TV but to no avail.

It is as ohsnapitsjoel suggested, it has keyframes. Open the Graph Editor and delete them.@ohsnapitsjoel

I must have had some auto-ghost-keyframe-system on. Thanks again!
