Why isn't my unwrapped UV on a solid color not showing properly?

Just as the title states, why are the colors different? My mesh is unwrapped and located over the small pink square to show that the colors are not matching up. I’ve run into this before but I’m so beyond sick of trouble shooting for hours on end trying to figure this out. You miss press one button and something in this program messes up and its extremely frustrating. I just found out what alt-b does through 30 mins of googling… Please help.

Welcome :tada:

It’s not clearly visible where are the vertices from the UVs on the pink area because you didn’t shwo this in a proper way like so:

Additionaly it’s not clear what part is pink because on the model there is no pink visible.

If you mean the skin color:
The color depends on the light and under the chin there is simply some shadow.

Also:

To look up keyboard shortcuts… there is… :

And… of course keys and button does have their meaning… and one have to learn and study what they do and concentrate on not fumble randomly on anything…

This said: Even if using blender myself since some 2.38 or somethign version i still sometimes discover things or have a what?-wait!-moments… when i accidendly did something  …but that’s mostly a sign to get some break because concentration is decreasing :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I sounds as if you need to go through a series of Blender Basic Tutorials so that you can understand the workings in Blender rather than spending all your time trying to Google answers that are right in the Documentation. " There is a link directly to the docs in the header bar.

Once you have the most basic of information on UVs and Textures, you can start to enjoy things instead of being frustrated and starting to blame the software for user mistakes.

I updated my imaged to show what i ment. My apologies, like I said I hardly know the names of the things i’m doing so its hard to really describe what is happening and what I want to happen.
Hopefully the new image makes sense. I am actually a moron, and I want to apologize. I found out that I had the right image selected but not the right material assigned to the spot I was trying to get

Shift + Right Click to set the “cursor” where you want the UV’s.

Then hit the period key and select 2D Cursor

Now press the “S” key to scale it down to the cursor.

While you are scaling the UV’s, you can press 0 to scale it down right at the cursor.

Hope that helps
