Why won't this mushroom get a glow in the compositor?

hey I’m new to blender and I can’t seem to work out how to get a glow effect in this model I have created. I want to achieve a soft glow like the glowing mushrooms in Disney Pixar’s A Bug’s Life. What should I do?

Hit shift+A and go to filter, and add a glare node. Then play with the threshold amount. You have to make your material have an emit value, but you seem to have done so already.

Oh, this thing I mentioned is all done in the compositor. You can hit either ctrl+Left arrow to get into that…or is it the right arrow? I forget. Try both

In the World settings select Indirect Lighting and change the Gather to Approximate. Object with an emit value in their material settings will emit light and look as they are glowing. You can then enhance the appearance in the compositor node editor

it worked thanks lots!
