Wierd game engine issue

Hey, I’m having issues with the game engine, at first it was rendering things nicely in GLSL, but now whenever I hit “P” the scene disappears except for the main object which ceases to be GLSL shaded, and falls. It seems like GLSL ceases to function, because the hair which was a simple color material also vanishes. I’m not sure whats up.

Hard to say without seeing a .blend file.

well this is embarrassing, I added the texture into the blend file for easy sending between friends, and now the blend file is around 2-3 megs which is too large to post, any suggestions so I can send it?

Replace it with a smaller, more compressed file. For example if it’s a PNG replace it with a jpg at 50%. Alternatively post the 3mb file to somewhere like filefront / mediafire. People are fine with downloading much larger than that (I d/l’d a 30mb blend file just yesterday). It’s just polite not to clog up BA’s servers with anything too big.

Sounds like an ATI problem…
Do you have an ATI video card? (or built-on)

I had the same problem before - on ATI9600XT. I installed full ATI driver + Catalyst 9.2 or 9.3 (latest) - problem solved. Previously, I am very comfortable with display driver only (smaller and faster to load) - and had that problem.

After installing Catalyst, set everything eg: anti-aliasing, to the lowest…

Do you have all the right layers selected? If you have stuff on multiple layers and 1 is missing it could be your problem.

sorry, wrong place
