Hello!
I have been animating a scene with a character model that has wiggle bones on certain hair bones, but they are going absolutely crazy whenever I play the animation or rewind the animation - any suggestions on how to fix this issue? I’m not sure if they were baked yet is that the problem?
@shteeve Hi and thank you for this awesome addon! Would it be possible to fix it for 4.1? There is some parts that gets baked, like freeze etc that I make it a little hard to use
hey, i might need a bit more context. wiggle works ok for me in 4.1, when you click bake, it bakes the active armature’s wiggle to keyframes and ‘freezes’ the wiggle effect for hte armature so as not to double up. if you want to redo the bake, you delete the old wiggle keyframes and click the snowflake icon to unfreeze the effect again.
Thanks! This is what it looks like after baking
wiggle is not freezed and instead it gets keys on every frame. There is not an option either, to freeze bones or scene etc. I cant find it. so I have to delete the keys and enable and freeze and then turn of wiggle on the armature.
This is blender 4.1.1 for me it was the same in 4.1. In 4.0 it works well! except for not finding the option on what to freeze after baking
Best/

ahh ok now i see! i think i’ve figured out a fix, but i just need to figure out of there’s a way to make it work for 4.1 without introducing code that confuses earlier versions of blender!
thanks for catching this!
update: @daniel_westlund would you mind seeing if this update to the addon addresses the issue for you? i’m gonna test myself a couple times before pushing it as a release:
Thanks!!! Tested it on 4.1.1 and 4.2 did not test in 4.0.2
Tried all different ways of baking (I use to push down the main armature animation before baking)
It works as expected in all caseses
Thank you for your quick response

I found a glitch that makes wiggle 2 unusable with animation references.
When loading a video in the sequencer, the active wiggle bones will completely stop working as intended. Unless I undo adding the video, the wiggle bones will never work again until I port the assets to a fresh save file.
Granted, I’m not sure if this is caused by another plugin I’m using. I don’t have many installed as I just got Blender again this week on a fresh PC. I’m using Blender 4.1.1. Would love to see if anyone else has or can replicate this. Thanks.
I used version wiggle_bones1_5_b14_fix.py from the first post in blender 4.4.3. In object mode it throws an error but in pose mode baking works on selected bones.
