Will standalone BGE do any good? I am wondering because other software doesn’t have two engine in one software ( some might). Does standalone BGE have any advantages or disadvantages. Thanks.
I’m not sure what you mean. The standalone BlenderPlayer executable isn’t another engine - it’s just the game engine relevant portions of Blender packed up into an executable. With the exception of the BlenderPlayer specific code, if you change almost any part Blender’s source, you’ll also be changing the BlenderPlayer’s source. The BlenderPlayer shouldn’t have any additional advantages or disadvantages when compared to Blender’s internal player.
Actually, BlenderPlayer runs a little bit faster for me than the Blender Internal player.
There is only one game engine - the BGE.
You can run them standalone (blenderplayer) or embedded inside Blender - which is a different application.
