Will there be a lot of development time need to get blender to work with Nvidia Ampere cards?

Or will it work straight away? I was about to upgrade to 2070 super but one source said ampere cards may be announced in march and suspected prices may be comparable to the current 20s line to stay competitive with AMD but offer up to 75% better performance than 20s. So that got me thinking about waiting.

I Expect Cycles/OptiX support to work out of the box (even on 2.82 which will likely come out before ampere gets released), Cuda support we have to update the Cuda version on the buildbots and some small tweaks to the build scripts, shouldn’t take long for the nightly builds to support it.
