Hey everyone! I haven’t posted on this site much but that’s because I haven’t actually used Blender a lot. I decided to make all the sprites for my latest game in blender, though, so I thought it’d be fun to post here and see what you guys think.
im sorry the game looks beautiful but i encountered an error? the error is the when i jump with the up key and press to the right at the same time, it understands that i am pressing both so it jumps and moves to the right. but when i try to do the same to the left, i have to jump, and THEN press left
also its been a while since ive seen this beautiful forum!!!
I’m not sure why it would do that, Evil. Maybe your keyboard is being funky? I can’t reproduce the error… Do you use a Mac or Linux? I suppose it could be some flash conflict.

I am using a regular keyboard, it has no problems doing so in other games? and i am using a windows computer, with google chrome, i thought chrome might cause it, but it doesnt because i tried it in IE too, and also Firefox?
Oh god, this game is so beautiful and the music so soothing.
I turned the volume up because I couldn’t get enough of the soundtrack, then I pressed down at the temple and regretted that I turned up the volume lol.
hehe tried it too, good for a holiday break only I didn’t manage to complete it, can’t jump to some places… have three glowing thingies following me around
If you want a standalone version, you can just snag the SWF out of your cached internet files.
What do you guys think of the models/renders? I’d really like to say thank you to the community here and blender.org for all the awesome support files and the FREE 3D program. It makes life a lot easier for guys like me. I mean, I make a little money off the games, but I don’t have a very big spending budget and I definitely wouldn’t be buying a big 3D package like Maya or sommat. Blender saved me a lot of time, too. 2D animation takes FOREVER…
If you wanna critics, that guy have IMHO too much of SSS, otherwise, its relly nice game at all.
Gameplay - some places are too high so you cant jump there, and I found several secret places which dont lead into secret places, but just fox stopps there.
Edit: I tryed do download thatswf, but it wont start the game, could you pls somehow post it here? I would be very thankful
The models are great and the animations fantastic, the only thing I could possibly complain about is that William got a bit over-the-top SSS but really that’s the ONLY thing, the art is simply amazing!
Great game, using the blender renders for the sprites integrated very well with the rest of the game – if I had just heard that the backgrounds were hand-created and the characters were sprites made in this way, I would expect them to seemingly not match, but indeed they did! Music was great and relaxing, and the game somehow managed to keep me playing to the end… I think it’s because of it’s simplicity and seeming open-endedness. This was made in flash, right?
btw, I can’t quite remember what it was, but I think I’m a kind, obese, zen-hearted fox Well done again!
Haha the SSS rape was my attempt to make it look painterly. It was just too vivid/shaded to fit, you know? I think it’s because I’m not so great with lighting. Cycles will be my savior.
The main thing that helped the sprites, though, was an isometric render. I think a lot of games that use 3D sprites leave the perspective on and it looks like the characters are floating on top of the backgrounds.
