Wind-up Workout

Another workout themed project.

Everything was modeled in Blender except for the plants in the background, which are from Poly Haven. Textures for the small bonsai pot were painted in Procreate. Photoshop and Blender were used for other textures, except for the tiles which were textured in Substance 3D Painter. I used a substance texture from the Adobe site called “persian tile” for the counter top, although I did modify it a bit. Spent more time then I wanted texturing the candy wrappers. I made the lifesavers a little more translucent than they really are, so they would react more to the light. Rendered in Cycles.

This is the first project I’ve done using Render Layers to break out the lights, and also the first time compositing in Blender.

Animating a little toy robot with very limited movement seemed like something I could try, so I included a short animation. :slightly_smiling_face:

How did you make the background behind the window?

Thank you!

It’s mostly a strategically placed hdri image with a couple tree and plant assets from Poly Haven placed behind the window. The depth of field and brightness are helping it a lot. I ended up exposing it up in the comp a bit more to get what I wanted.
