Requires Windows XP/Vista/7 64bit
USA | Germany | NL 1| NL 2

Note: This version requires Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistribution Package (x64). (about 5MB)
The 64bit release of Blender for Windows is still in a development stage: it doesn’t support all possible features yet, like FFMPEG, OpenAL and Quicktime.

Since the focus is on blender 2.5 I’d hardly think putting together an installer for 2.49 64bit is that important given you don’t need an installer to run it. Unzip and run the exe

if the 32bit version is 2.5… should i just use that?
thanks
just found out - at the present - 32 and 64 are version 2.49

I’m running 2.5 on a 64 bit version of XP. It seems to do as well as on my 32 bit machines. Go for it.

thanks .
