I did a simple dance by a character and added sound.
I rendered it in .mpg. The VLC plays it well but the Windows Media Player won’t play the sound.
I shoulkd say that the sound added was recorded from a simple Microsoft stick microphone. This records in .wma format which is recognised by Blender’s Sequence Editor and in the Camera section of the Properties window, I chose MP3 as codec (as .wma is not available).

Is the Win Media Player getting confused by the mixed formats ,wma (for recording) and .mp3 for embedding it in the rendered file done in .mpg?

Please help. What might be the best way to add a sound (recorded in .wma) to a Blender file? Can a .wma file be converted to .mp3?
