Wine Dinner

A Dinner Scene I did some time back. Modelled and rendered in Blender & Cycles. Minor post pro in Photoshop
Bon appetit

As always, c&c welcome

The slice of bread could benefit of some more bump. The tomatoes a bit more specularity/glossiness. But what are these yellowish things on the plate?
Nice atmosphere.

The wine material in the actual glass looks like something that was shrink-wrapped around the inside of the glass. I may be wrong of course, but I did something like that myself awhile ago.

If this is the case, you’re really not far from convincing wine. What you’d need to do is merge the top vertices of the wine, then adjust shaders to resemble a liquid A red glass shader with an IOR of ~1.3 should do the trick. Alternatively, you can use a transparency shader with a mild glossy shader, and skip the refraction entirely. A little simpler to manage, and very little of the audience will spot it, especially accounting the refraction already present with the glass.
