Synopsis:
One cold winter night a lonely child finds friendship in a snowman, a friendship showing that love is caring for somebody other than yourself.
This is the trailer to the film I made as my graduation film for the course of animation and experimental filmmaking I finished this may.
I plan to put up the full film, that ended up being 27,5minutes (yes, I lack a social life), on the web closer to christmas. So you are going to have to wait for the full film.
Wow, you got a good 2D feel there! It was really done with blender? Edges on and turning shadow casting off? Very nice. I’d like to know more of the process.
All the visual parts where made in blender (textures, animation, editing, compositing etc.). It was animated as cutout animation, so everything where made up of flat planes (also the background).
It was then rendered out with edges and some effects in the node compositor.
In episode 2 the child explores the freedom of the snow-covered surroundings but soon feels alone and builds a snowman. As the night approaches and the child returns to the cabin there is something following in the forest.
In episode 3 that which followed the child appears out of the forest, finds the childs discarded woollen cap and decides to give it back but is afraid of the humans, and what is it that makes the child so sad?
:no:oh! how can you make this kind of
attractive post.
You are so interesting man.
Carry on.
Please post another thing
& I will visit here soon.
thanks. Hard Money Hard Money Los Angeles
In episode 4 The snowman finds its way in to the cabin and explores a world it has never experienced before, but what will the child do when its sees the snowman examine one of the Christmas gifts from under the tree?
In episode 5 seeing that the snowman isn’t mean, the child gives the snowman the Christmas gift. But does the snowman know what a Christmas gift is? And does the child really want to give away whats inside the box?
In episode 6 since the snowman can’t handle tha warmth it has to go outside. The following morning the snowman waits for the child to come out and play, but will the child remember the snowman when it’s Christmas day and there are gifts to open?
In episode 7 the child remembers the snowman just in time to see it leaving. Will the child be able to convince the snowman to stay? And should the snowman stay in a place where it might melt?
I’m surprised no one is checking this out- very elegantly and austere, lovely color; you have a sweet knack for storytelling! I’m still on Ep.3, will comment after I watch the whole thing.
