Winter evening. The outskirts of the village.
I am completing this year with this winter landscape work, which I made based on a reference photo.
Happy New Year to all of you!
Some people get so caught up in the level of reality possible in blender, they presume that is what matters to the rest of us. There is art in making all that realistic looking stuff, but there is nothing wrong with "blending " in a bit of the surreal. I use blender mainly to make videos for my original music, and don’t give a hang about realism in my own renders. I admire and appreciate the art of those who play on both sides of that line. Your render is beautiful.
I absolutely love it. The right side of the image has a sense of “the very best of Thomas Kinkade,” while the left side reveals the use of 3D graphics. With scatterings of little bits of light in the sky. You could easily sell this scene . . . maybe you should copyright it and try.
