Overall, it is excellent. I think though that since it is word-art, the word needs to be more legible. I produce images like this all the time, and it is always a struggle to balance being artistic, with readability.
I think the ice effect is especially nice.
I think the ice needs to be a little bit more transparents and personally i would have had the “D” up close and the “R” further away. Apart from that it looks really good.

Personally, I think the letters look like metal, and that it would be a lot neater if they were a bit more transparent, like an ice sculpture.

i think you are right with the material, expecially when three people think the same way.

Word art is tough because regular kerning (The distances between the letters) often doesn’t give you the needed effect.
Your snow and scenic background are very, very, good!
