WIP/ animated fairy story "Easy Bread"

Now I am working on a 10-minute short movie " Easy Bread" in Blender, which is to be released later in 2012. The based on the belarusian fairy story. This is a one scene of film:

Another reason why you should never get high. I take it that the origins of this story is in Germany, right?

Yes,you are right.

A nice animation and very comedic.

thanks.I like animals too… the wolf is the main hero and he will have few more fights but… he is a loser in this story…

Lotta great stuff there.

Suggestion: Put some small breathing animations in. It may be just how you like to animate, but I think adding some body movement (even just a little) gives more life to the characters, especially when they are speaking.

Ronnie, thanks for suggestion. I will take into consideration it.

In general the style is really cool,
What is letting it down is in the animation, which is very limited, mainly lacking in overlap and follow through.
I’m not sure if this is a stylistic decision, but I think it would benefit greatly from a bit more polish in the animation.

freen, thanks for your note.
I posted this scene to hear the comments and suggestion from other artists…

it’s the next part of the movie:

I will be glad to hear your comments and suggestions.

Hahaha very funny. Love the bit where the angels whack him

thanks, walshlg

This is awesome!
Looking at the models, you would expect more “realistic” movement. Instead, you chose a sort of old fashioned cartoon-movement. I think that worked out really nice! Maybe some polishing here and there on the movement is necessary though.
Did you make the models and environment yourself? I am curious how long it took for you to do modelling, rigging and animation.

Frank359,thanks for your comment. I’m a fan of old cartoons like Looney Tunes.
Work began in mid-May. Everything in this cartoon I do myself.
Sound arrangement will be done in a professional studio after the end of the animation
