Jamesk I missed your original post on the idea, but I think it’s really good.
I’m in the middle of a charcter comp at the moment at www.threedy.com, and they make sure that in the first week you just post concept sketches, getting feedback on your ideas. When you are happy with the concept, it’s on to the modeling stages and as you suggest WIP postings.
The drawing of concept sketches makes you think more into your model, even if you think up a history and background to your character, as you seem to have done already with your ideas.
Just rambling on now, but as soon as I get out of London, (Saturday) will post some concepts to see what you think.
