[WIP] F1 Challenge (updated)

Hi all, here is a car i’m working on for the F1 2003 challenge !!

I will say that it is kind of a return to the past in term of design, because for the show the FIA needed to make really powerfull non drivable cars !! :wink:

wicked! now you need a real bad ass engine with overly chromed exhaust pipes and carb. 8)

yeah, the hubs look a little flat, chunk em up a bit, and get to work on that engine!

Yes I know that I need to work on the wheels, but I didn’t find a good idea yet. I don’t want some regular rims, need to find something …

Looking good!

Some points:

  1. Add some breaks in the body work, (i.e. some gaps, etc.). Way too clean right now. Also, make some small holes around the suspension where it meets the chasis.

  2. As previously stated, the tires and wheels need some work.

  3. Make sure you get some nice cockpit details added as well.

I’m begining adding details to the main body tonight, i’ve got a lot of ideas for that !!

But I’m still searching for some cool design for the rims, but something not usual. I’ll try to surf a little on sports site tonight see what I can find.

What kind of details are you talking about for the cockpit ?

but you know that.
Also how can the suspension move when the body is blocking it?

one thing I thought of while checking out your updated pic… the ‘1’ logo on the front… instead couldn’t you just carry it up as a strip across the body of the car? I think a black line from head to toe would look appropriate :slight_smile:

Yes you’re right ! I’ll do that, and also for the reason that i don’t find that we can see that it is a “number one” that well.

I get very busy these days, very hard to find some time to work on Blender !! :-?

hey I like your beer can render… the golden bottoms and the table reflections look great… only niggles I see with it so far are the pixel (anti alias those fackers) power on the red disk and the furthest beer can … also the bottom curved look could be improved… I like it… but not alot! :Z
