This is my most recent attempt at creating a room. I had started this prior to joining BlenderGuru’s Architecture Academy, but have used some of the tips and tricks from the tutorials in here to try and make improvements. The inspiration was a black and white photo from Shorpy.com of a kitchen of the same period. I was going for weatherbeaten but still warm and inviting - a “Grandma’s house” sort of thing.
I’d like to know if anyone can suggest some improvements. I think the color scheme and composition works, but I’m not sure about the lighting.
Done in 2.70 with some of the grunge and weathering added in GIMP. Rendered at 750 x 500 px and 600 cycles.
