The second Echo model will feature minimal clothing. I aim to showcase the character’s body, providing more opportunities to develop their identity through various content formats in the future. I’ve just created the project today. I’ve decided to share my WIP projects here to stay more motivated. Unfortunately, I can’t share everything I’m working on here, as projects using software like CLO3D wouldn’t be relevant. Therefore, it will be Blender only, our beloved Blender.
Day 2
Echo II [Obsidian] Stage: Developing core forms. Number of types in this release: 2. Comment: Haven’t fully immersed myself yet, but I’m close. Currently working on the blockout, gradually refining the desired shape. The first model type will have minimal clothing, and the second will feature a trendy oversized outfit. In short, it’s a work in progress. Progress will be shown soon.
WIP! The second Echo model, Obsidian, is nearly done. Just a few tweaks left. Im planning on making two sub-types of Obsidian, so I’ll work on the second one tomorrow. So, everything’s still a work in progress.
Hi! I created two drafts today. The second model type of Obsidian (*temp Breeze). The third model type, Echo, is temporarily named ‘Target’.
Hi! Today I’m working on the 3rd type of Echo model. I haven’t come up with a name for it yet. All models are in progress, what can I say. It’s not a quick process, especially when you’re creating details as you go. There’s no specific reference for it.
The name will be connected to the theme of damage, wounds, something like that. Perhaps it will be connected to the idea of “sh*t happens”. But I think I’ll make a more interesting description. There’s both the concept of an arrow to the heart and self-sacrifice. It gives me something to think about.
Alright, so this is the second update for today. I’ve finished creating three types of Echo characters. I still have a few variations of some body parts left over, which will definitely come in handy. The next step is to finalize the new models, create renders, and possibly some animations. Later, I’ll prepare the models for printing. I plan to print the Echo Null model soon, as it’s the core of the concept.
