Hello everyone, first post I’m making here (or to any 3D forum for that matter). I’m new to Blender (however a year of experience in 3D modeling) so I’m following a course on Udemy and thought about sharing my progress here:
The first thing asked to be modeled for the scene was a lamp post with primitives so I decided to go for this kind of street lamp.
Secondly an archway using booleans from a box and vertically scaled cylinder.
Later on, a bridge with the lamps using the array modifier.
Then I started to model side things like this boat as I realized moving edges/faces aren’t very different from maya.
After learning how to make linked duplicates, I added more lights into my scene, along with the boat from before. Along with a proper render after learning about putting composition into consideration.
Today I learned how to change the material of the scene, so I messed around there, and made the camera a bit closer and higher to make the reflections in the render more interesting.
What do you think so far? Is there anything I should add or change that I probably hadn’t thought of before? Any tips for improvement?
Thanks ![]()
