Hi, I’m playing around with a little ‘info video’ for a presentation. As it goes, getting completely side tracked and wondering if someone can tell me how it would be possible to have a single object appear in a scene via a ‘wipe’. Very similar to what is shown on the left box at 2:51 on youtube’s ?v=dMsNct4X_GU
I’ve tried putting it in a separate scene and doing a transition in the VSE with a wipe (90 degrees out, 0.3 blur width) with decent results. Up to this point I was using a single scene and handling floating in the text with keyframes on location for the text out of the camera view then move it in, create another keyframe in the time line on the text object. I was building a number of .blend files for each blurb then creating another .blend to sequence them altogether using the VSE (or video editing view - not sure of the proper term).
The question I’m asking myself now is if it is better practice to handle all such text in and outs as separate scenes or as keyframes or is it a matter of personal preference. Moving the keyframes around in the graph editor has proved to be a bit error prone for me, so was looking for drawbacks on the multiple scene within one .blend approach.
I’m very new to it but having quite some fun learning along the way.
