Wire framing model issue

Hello I am trying to model this camera with a neon outline. I duplicated each mesh and when I go in to do the wire framing for one copy of each mesh I try to delete vertices and edges that I don’t want to be wire framed and it ends up deleting the outline for the mesh that I want. What do I need to do to the meshes that I want wire framed so that it keeps the outline but gets rid of the inner edges and vertices that are unwanted? attatched is a copy of the blender file that I had started to delete the inner parts on the lens hood.

Thank you,

i have NO idea what you ment…

i guess what you are looking for is edge dissolve, which can be found when pressing the Delete button, x.

be in Edge select mode, and have the edge you wish to delete selected.

I just recommended Freestyle also in the other post you made on this topic.

How do you do the selective wires? sorry for the duplicate post

select edges, ctrl+E -> mark as freestyle edge. linestyle has edge marks enabled
