wireframe showing through on curve

So I created a pipe using a curve and a bevel object. I’m getting an odd result when I render. The wireframe seems to show through the material assigned to the curve. I converted it to a mesh, removed doubles, smoothed it, and I still seem to get the same problem. I have another pipe I created using a primative cylinder, and it looks fine using the same material. Any ideas?
