How does one connect to a wireless network in GNOME? I’m running Fedora Core.
Install NetworkManager and possibly a front end like Gnome-Network-Manager.
You can use Wifi Radar. There is also the Network Manager that comes as default, at least for F7. I use KDE only and for KDE it is accessed by knetworkmanager. For gnome you would have to do a small search
OR you can do it by hand
iwlist wlan0 scan
it will show the networks in range. Go to the network options and configure the conection.
You’ll find usable networks & a variety of other things in: System > Administration >
Cant give you an exact name as atm I’m using KDE and cant remember what it is for Gnome, but it does say Network in the name.
