is blender ever going to be able to use wmv or if not whats a good convertor to convert it to a file that is usable in blender i tried avi but it diddnt work???

A good converter is Super Converter.
Just Google it

i think because wmv is proprietary, hooked into windows media player, not unix supported, and just like, who need yet another codec, when its so hard to get good ones to work reliably as well. You can always use windows movie maker to convert.

thanks super convertor is good i use windows movie maker as far as i can tell you cant convert with it

for conversions, i use Virtual Dub. they guy is the codec master, and its free and does audio as well.
