Won't Render Image

I have the problem that when I send m scene to be rendered a checkerboard kind of image appears instead of the scene. I had just animated the scene and rendered the whole animation as JPEG images then I made it a QuickTime file and now I am trying to edit it the scene again but it won’t render.

You have added a strip in the video sequence editor. This will override your scene render

Either
Remove it or
In the Render / Post Processing panel, deselect ‘Sequencer’
