Wooden Surface Soccer Game

Hey BlenderArtists,

I’m working on a model for a soccer game that needs the surface to be made out of panels of hardwood. However there are unique circles cut out to hold the players to come, (see pics below). I have a vector eps file with a wooden pattern that I can repeat. What do you think is the best way I can go about this? I was thinking of UV Mapping but the holes/indents I’m concerned about. I’m about to try this. Anyone have any suggestions or direction. Thanks a lot.

When you do your UV unwrap use… “project from view”… that is set your floor so that you are viewing it form above… numbpad 7… then ‘U’ … then "project from view’… then just tile your texture to it…
