Workflow for linking RGB values across materials

Hi Hello!

I’m wondering if anyone else has figured out a good way of updating multiple material colors at once? I do product rendering and often need to color match materials while having different textures or roughness etc. Currently I use RGB nodes and plug them in manually anytime I want to update a color, but that means I have to do this on each material (which can be a bit unwieldy sometimes).

Looking for anyone with insight on this, thanks in advance!

Put the nodes you want to reference (ie, the rgb nodes) inside a node group and connect them to the node group’s output. Use the node group in any material you need to reference the values. Changes made to the inside of a node group will of course then apply to any references to that node group.
