Working With Advanced Shader Groups and Creating A Custom Ubershader in Cycles


Hey everyone,

To prove I haven’t forgotten about my goals to create some helpful tutorials for the community I’ve worked with Blender Cookie to create a four-part series on working with the updated node group system in Cycles. It covers some more advanced functions and shows how to create my custom ubershader from scratch. The goal is to both show how to create a multipurpose shader that is artist-friendly, as well as to try to take some of the mystery and fear out of working both with Cycles and the node editor. Both node system newbies and people well-seasoned in the art of material creation with Cycles nodes will find useful information in this training series.
