Woulnd it be easier to click drag to select in the UV editor instead of pressing B everytime ?

i work as a low poly modeler , i find it would much more fast to just click and drag to select stuff ala inkscape, b is cool yeah , but just selecting right away is better in many other cases if not most.

what u think ?

by the way , i think we can do this in 2.5 with gestures right ?

Humm, if I just select UV Editor screen, that action simply selects a nearest vertex. I can’t box select from there. Which option do you have turned “on?”

Anyway, what I do is to select a vertex, than hit L. That will select the whole mesh bounded by the seam edge. Some of those set of meshes are sitting there like a jigsaw puzzle you know. Box selecting them don’t work too well.

You can select with Control key+LMB drag. It works like a lasso selection tool.

but what if you’re painting on the texture itself vs the model? :slight_smile:

I agree though, it’s a strange key compared to every other program out there. :slight_smile:

control + LMB drag , is just right , its a bit slightly different from inkscaope for example ,but it works preety cool.
