I’'m trying to wrap a Text-to-Curve-to-Mesh object around a sphere. I know it can be done, I’ve done it before. But I can’t get it to work. Is there a perfered method other than UV mapping? thanks…
Not sure if this is what your after but Eugene recently made some video tutorials about wrapping and animating text around a sphere.
Use the warp tool (Shift W) in editmode. Only works for mesh objects, I think. B4 you do this with text rotate it so that it reads backward, else it WILL read backward after you warp it. Also do it in top view and place the 3D cursor ath the point you want it to pivot around.
yea do what rambobaby said, thats how I would have gone about doing it.
yeah, I was using shift+w but I could only get it to go one way, I didn’t think to do it from top view, then rotate and do it again which I just tried and it worked, thanks.
