Wrong normals?

Hi! I just exported this mesh from MakeHuman and deleted all the parts i don’t need. I’m using it for an FPS game, so i just need the arms. Unfortunately, the model has some strange black shading:


I think the normals are incorrect. I already tried recalculating the normals from inside and outside, but nothing fixed it. Any ideas? Thanks.

If you want to double check that the normals are indeed facing the correct direction you can select the following and make sure they are all pointing outward and not inward. Sometimes the calculate normals doesn’t always fix sections.


Also it may be more helpful to post a .blend file in case this isn’t the issue.

It looks like you have a point light below your model’s waist.
