can someone give me a nooby tutorial on how to make water. i would like it so i can use it for an animation im making

You don’t say what you mean by making water. Do you want to make an ocean or a glass of water, the method of creating these are totally different.
For the glass of water you can use the fluid simulation. Look on youtube for dozens of examples and tutorials.
