After watching aendom’s video on texturing the space cadet (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_KhPnu0Ahzk) and seeing how he creates some of the details by drawing displacement masks.
I decide to experiment with this technique and use it as an opportunity to work on my texturing skills.
The case was done with a combination of blender and Quixel Mixer, the 1/4" drives were done in quixel mixer and the torque wrench was done in substance painter. I switched to substance painter at the end because i wanted to try it out and see how it would affect my workflow.
I’ll be doing some more practise over the next few weeks before i try tackle my main project. Any advice to improve my texture work would be greatly appreciated.
