Yes, i am using blueprints that i found on TheBlueprints.com, this one. Funny thing is realized after beginning the project that i got the exact same on a poster in my hallway :p.
Apparently, these blueprints were taken from a book published by Delrey in the 90’s.
Unfortunately, the different views do not display exactly the same scale, and though i spent hours trying to tweak it to obtain the best match possible from different angles, i had to compromise.
Now you say it, it appears that the nose seems a bit short. But it might be an effect of the smooth shading seen from that particular angle, because when i turn the model, it does not seems to bad. Plus, that part of the model matches the blueprint from both side and top view.
I will post a new image when i will have finish the high poly model.
I also had a question, relative to modeling : while browsing different models in sketchfab (x wing or others…), i noticed that in some of them, all the parts of the model were connected (attached in a single mesh), while in others, the different compoments were left as separate objects.
Is there a reason for this, other than texturing a single mesh instead of several ? Is it a bad practice if i leave my mesh parts separated ?
