This is the first rendering in Blender I’ve done for fun. I modeled the watch in Softimage back in 2011 and it’s an Xoskeloton Furious. Sadly, the company is no longer around, I liked their designs. The goal was to learn a bit about Blender lighting, shading and rendering. I really do love cycles! The instantaneous feedback is something we could only dream of with Mental Ray.
Also it was an excuse to play with Smoke Studio. I saw this and couldn’t resist getting it. It’s so fun and easy to set up. It tried a few colors and settled on these two. Comments on how to improve are welcome of course.
