Xray not working: image as planes

Im trying to model a Lightsaber and earlier had succes with setting up blueprints (images as planes)… But had to restart… last time i could see thru my geometry, and see what on the blueprints… but this time i cannot - guess i must have enabled something i shouldnt have by ticking and option. Any suggestions would be helpful.! blueprinterror|690x377

You can set “background image” in camera settings and there you’ll have opacity and stuff.

I think you added as Reference Image,
As Image as Plane, you need to do this

When imported…it will add the connection from image to alpha…only works if there ia an alpha channel…to make it work disconnect the alpha to alpha connection and manually adjust the alpha ( alpha blend on…

If you add a Reference Image you do this…

Under the image tab select Use Alpha and adjust the slider…you can also select in front or back etc…and when it will show in 3d view…

RSEhlers: Thanks for the alpha-suggestion, which brought back my blueprints images… i was then left with the cube geometry-problem (x-ray did not work there either)… i found the solution this way: i selected the cube geometry - chose “Object Properties” and in “Viewport Display” i ticked “Display As” WIRE

Thanks for the answers - really appreciated!

You should or could have changed the Depth setting so that the mesh looks like it is front and the transparency slider for more or less showing over the mesh…
Reference Image…( I use an image as a plane when I need to add leaves or animated images etc…never for modeling from images!
