Hi,
Xstream Studios Entertainment is a new game development firm. We are currently moving foward with an RPG game project. We have 2 positions opened for Level Designers, 1 position for Character Designer, 2 positions available for Concept Artist and 1 position for Texture Designer. Any one with a decent experience in the 3D Modeling (Blender / 3D Studio Max) are welcome to apply.
Character designers will be working on modeling both High and Low poly charcters and Skeletal animations for those characters. Level Designers will be working on Modeling game levels in Blender or 3D Studio Max. Texture Designers must be able to use Photoshop or similar programs to create realistic textures to aid the 3D Designers.
Interested people contact me via email. Sent me your overall skill info and attach two snapshots of the work you did or web-links for the snap shots. Concept artists must also sent me a hand drawn picture or a web-link for such a snap-shot.
do you have a website to show some stuff you are currently working on?
and is this a webproject over the world between people or is this studio located somewhere in the world, and if, where then?
if you want to view some stuff of my portfolio, click “www” button down to the right, my latest WIP is the splashimage at welcomepage, but my site is undergoing a remake, that’s why there’s so few renders in my gallery, but will come!
Hi,
We are working on the web right now. Our old wite was unable to handle the sna-shots. A non-playable demo is coming out in 3 months. We needed to change our providers for better connection. We are in the process of remaking the web. Also, a Playable demo is coming out in April 2004. By that time we will have our 70 % of the game modules done.
And, ‘xtonzy’, I couldn’t get to see your pics. Modron, if you are interested in joining this project, send me some pics too.
Email me with any questions and will contact you as soon as I can. xtonzy, I will send you some pics through email, if you are interested.
OK, web is being developed, this was first issue which came in my mind
Is it paid project ? Will you pay for the work? This is good to know to avoid confusion before I (or anybody here) post you an e-mail. Several times I tried to join such project but it turned out that it was freeware or I would get paid only in case of and after comercial release of the game. This is not bad ,but there are hundreds of project like these and some of us are not interested in freeware games anymore.
Thanx in advance for info and good luck with the game
Hey Tol, looks like you are a Kenshin fan. OK, this project is a freeware in some sense. You won’t be paid for the project you do now. But will be payed after it gets published. But unlike most other projects like this, ours is almost on the way and we already got into terms with few publishers.
They all liked the screenshots for the game. Two of then are already ready to sign up after they looked at our game Engine and the production speed. We went from zero levels to 3 levels in 2 weeks. The game already has over 8 hours of gameplay and in 4 months it will jump to 15 or 18 hours of gameplay. On graphics wise the engine we use is ready to bring games to Windows and Linux Platforms.
So we are not just like other people with just hope. We got all this running for the past 8 months. More than that two of the cut scene animations are on the way. We are depending on few Freelancers to do the animations for us. We will have to spend money on such deals. But currently we need people to work for us with that goal in mind. Unlike other small game production settlements, we WILL have the game out in another 9 months.
Thanks for pointing out the missing details in my post Tol. If people are still interested contact me for more info
Yup, Kenshin fun, thats I am. And gamedeveloper too, in fact my team is in very similar situation like you, althought we have several contract signed now so we are sure we will publish our game as soon as it will be finished.
I am curious on your web to see, how your game looks and again I wish you a good luck.
Hi Tol, where is your company located? Also, what genre are you making.
Ya, and I didn’t like the way they ended the series. But I guess it adds some realism from the historical point of view. Kenshin is my fav. anime of all the time.
We will have the web up and running soon. The guy working on the web recently joined us and he is a college student. So he is having a hard time for few weeks. That is why we are having a delay on that. Since we got the publisher on the paper, we don’t have to hurry up for the web. It is better to come up with a nice web than to hurry up and mess it up. So we will be concentrating on the game until then
Czech republic, it is point and click adventure and you can see it on our web www.peregrius.cz (click on british flag to english version). Then click on Ron Loo picture.

Agree, I loved it to conflict with German knights including, didn´t like that magical crap at the end. But let´s talk anime elsewhere before someone kick us out of here
I would love to see what you doing, let me know if I can help you little in any way
Hi,
Modron, I know what you mean. Unless people have real motivation to involve and do something their own, involving in this kind of project is not possible. I am on the same line too. I have another job. I am drawing money from that job to work on this. I am not critisizing your thought. What I am saying is that you are CORRECT. So this is not for people who wants to make money right away.
I work as a Character Designer myself for money and have done freelancing before that to gain experience and hands in this industry. But I think something more can be done from my experience. That is why I started this project with people who has similar thoughts in mind. In this project nobody is a boss. Everybody plays equal part and plan to go for it to the end.
People who loves to work on what they like and does not like getting kicked around by big bosses might love this opportunity too. But such a nature can be considered as a second nature for this job. Unless people really want to hope high and achieve high, comiting to this kind of project is impossible.
Somethings have to be sacrificed for better things. I am on that side.
I will think about it Rak. I have a question for you though before I decide whether or not to apply:
What is the game about, and what are the character types that are in it? Knowing this will help me in deciding what sort of drawings to send, and also if it is something that will hold my interest.
