Concept art for the XTIN movie project.
cool! very good! I especially like those shadows, they’re original.
Color! Usually I have nothing but trouble with it, but it was easy enough this time. My shiny chrome even looks a little like shiny chrome.
I must say nice work dude:D
I’m watching
Great work Jeremy!
Great art, only crit would be the usabillity of the axe on post #6 cuzz or you need a huge amount of arm and hand muscles or the shaft is to long.
cheers
Thanks guys, I was starting to have the paranoid feelings.
snelleeddy - It is heavy looking. The people in the movie are much stronger than normal people, but still it should look natural.
I’m defiantly watching this. I’m really hoping to get my concepting closer to this level. Great stuff.
Took a step backward on this one, painting wise I know where I screwed up - I was indecisive on setting a tone pattern early on and as a result was lucky to get the painting this far. Hopefully I’ve learned my lesson.
I wish I could paint like that… any tips on how to get started? I can pencil sketch pretty good but it’s a big jump to digital : ]
Jack000 - Start in grayscale, and don’t bother thinking about color until your grayscale images rock.
thanks for the tip, i sure gan make a good use of that
hmm, painting is very …very nice…
but design (i checked your website) feels very enki bilal mixed with stargate.

Never heard of Enki Bilal. I googled up a few images but I don’t see the similiarity.
I’ll buy the Stargate angle. I’ve got pyramids and some Egyptian art influence.
enki bilal… really? you’ve gotta read the comics i’m sure you would enjoy.
he has these characters of ancient egyptian gods and godlikes… human bodies with animal heads… also pyramids are in the picture. and, he has wonderful way of painting.

No, I haven’t seen his stuff yet. There’s too much good art out there which I have not seen because of the $ problem.
