YafRay and TEXTURES

I can’t get my textures to show up at all using YafRay, I been trying to make them work for about 4-5 hours with no results, so I came here in hope that someone will help me out!!!

what textures, images procedurals …

Yafray does not support PNG textures and packed textures no backed up with a valid path (Yafray can’t look for textures inside the Blender file)

Could one of you nice people tell me the correct way to use textures to render with YafRay. I am using procedural textures, (the once inside blender) and .jpg textures. Neither one of them are working in YafRay, all I get is gray.
