Hi!
Good news, eeshlo implemented an hemilight and a sunlight, and I did some things too (like new photon based radiosity). All of course is experimental, play with it.
The models in the examples were extracted from blender (very crappy models, just for testing), there could be an usable export script one of these days

can you do a test for very high sample hemilight, with only one bounce? so we could see what the time would be?

Though the link at news section was working, the link at downloads section not.
Now both links are working.

is yafray made by blender users or is it just a random free renderer that has been adopted by blender users???

I’m curious as to Yafray’s capabilities. I was playing around with it yesterday. It’s very cool, and I’m amazed how rapidly it has come to this point.
Just for the heck of it, I was bringing up some old models/scenes, exporting with Yable (Yafray 0.0.3, Yable 0.0.2-9 - I know), and rendering in Yafray with a hemi light. On the bigger/more complex scenes, it seemed to throw an error while creating objects. Are there upper limits on vertices, faces or objects?
Keep up the great work!
