i have turned on zblur in blender and when i render the image with blender internal the blur is visible but when i render it with yafray it isn’t , and i also can’t see mist when render with yafray
Yafray doesn’t support those things (zblur, mist, stars and some procedural textures).
But Yafray does has its own DoF, so you could use that.
Again, one of the things I have commented on quite a few times on several forums (same for the TexFace uv thing), but for some reason, people seem to not notice it or something…
The zblur sequencer plugin does work, not the internal code, I was about to update the export code to use the integrated plugin too, but since it has been removed, that is of no use anymore. But you can still use the old plugin, any sequencer plugin should work with yafray too.
This was in the release notes for 236 btw, here (though I have seen it misinterpreted as if it had something to do with Blender and not yafray):
On the other hand, if you have actually tried this and for some reason it really didn’t work, then for me it works best to have an example file so I can fix it (and again same for ‘TexFace’).
Though it is really a bit too late now, the current yafray export code is now more or less final, and will be rewriten, so there probably won’t be updates for a (possibly very) long time…
But you can still use the old plugin, any sequencer plugin should work with yafray too.
Well, suck my @ss and call me a b#tch.
You’re right. Somehow I couldn’t get it to work (on the older versions, and I never tried it again on 2.36). I just run a test, and yes, Zblur works fine with Yafray.
I still think Zblur is a pain in the butt to use *
- but honestly much faster
