I have been working with caustics lately and have produced the above two images. The problem that I have is that on the AL pic, the L has all these odd black spaces in them. Is it supposed to have those? I used text in blender and converted it to mesh to achieve the lettering. Is there a better way to do it?

it could be the background reflecting or refracting.

still doesn’t work. Turned everything that had to do with ray tracing all the way up and still get those wierd black things. Looked at the mesh and it looks like the black shapes are where the triangles are. Is there any way to get rid of these triangles?
